"The former league MVP signed a contract with the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday and joined the team on its charter to Phoenix. He had practised with the Avalanche at the team's facility before meeting with general manager Greg Sherman and signing the deal."
"Peter believes he can compete at the NHL level based on how his workouts went," Sherman said. "He will provide additional leadership to our club and he will have an impact with this young team."I have to say I am pretty excited that he is back. I wonder if there is a chance he can call up his old buddy Joe Sakic for a comeback too..lol
After watching the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins game today I am wondering if Sidney Crosby is starting to feel some pressure to come back early. If Jordan Staal is your top offensive player, your team is in trouble.
