What do you think of the Maple Leafs Guardian?
The Toronto Maple Leafs head into Raleigh, North Carolina and face the Hurricanes tonight.
The Leafs really need to start picking up some points if they want to stay out of the bottom 5 and give Boston a chance for the lottery pick. The New Jersey Devils are playing better of late and gaining ground every day. So these are 2 big points the Leafs need to pick up.
The Hurricanes have some nice offensive weapons, Eric Staal with 23 goals and 49 pts and figure skating rookie Jeff Skinner who has 39 pts in 49 games. Not bad for a rookie. Brandon Sutter is having an off year with only 8 goals this season after scoring 25 last year. I have a feeling he scores tonight against the Leafs.
Giggy will be in goal tonight for the Buds. He played well against the Washington Capitals on the weekend and I can see him having a strong game tonight. I am hoping the Leafs score first tonight. They always seem to be giving up the first goal of the game and playing catch up. I do have a good feeling tonight for a Leafs win.
I am going to have to rush back to watch the game tonight. I have dinner plans with some friends but hope I don't miss that much of the 1st period tonight.

Jeff Skinner is going to be a Calder finalist this year, although Logan Couture will probably win it. The canes are exciting but wildly inconsistent. let's hope the hurrilames show up tonight. nice little blog you've got going here. Mine's better though ;)
